Dr. Rohit Kumar obtained his Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from the UBTE Roorkee, in 2006. He received B.Tech. degree in CSE from UPTU, Lucknow, in 2009, and M.Tech. degree in CSE from ABV-IIITM, Gwalior, in 2014. He completed his Ph.D. from DSPM-IIIT, Naya Raipur, in 2021. In 2010, he joined the department of CSE at Govt. Polytechnic Mallasalam, Almora, as a Lecturer. Thereafter, he moved to Dehradun and worked with SCE, Dehradun. Later, he joined PIET, Nagpur, as an Assistant Professor in 2015. He also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow under SIAS at KREA University, Sri City, in 2021. Subsequently, he joined SRMIST, Chennai, and offered his services in the capacity of Research Assistant Professor in 2022. Thereafter, he worked with Shiv Nadar University Chennai during 2023-2025. Presently, he is serving as Assistant Professor at ABV-IIITM, Gwalior.
He founded Learn Together Classes (LTC) in Dehradun in 2014. He cleared Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) multiple times, specifically in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He cleared Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)-2/2014 and attended 11-Service Selection Board (SSB), Allahabad. He qualified Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test (USET) and University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) in 2015. He received an institute scholarship from Govt. of India and Govt. of Chhattisgarh during his M. Tech. and Ph.D. tenure, respectively. Additionally, he is the Best Paper recipient for his work in IEEE ANTS-2019 conference. Furthermore, Dr. Kumar got elevated to IEEE senior member grade in 2022.
Currently, his research interests include Network Traffic Engineering and Security in Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), Software Defined Networking (SDN), Internet of Things (IoT), and Cloud Computing networks. He has published some of his research works in reputed International Conferences and SCI/SCIE Indexed Journals including IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, IEEE Systems Journal, Computer Networks, Journal of Industrial Information Integration, Computer Science Review, IEEE Sensors Journal, IEEE Communications Letters, ISA Transactions, etc. In addition to this, Dr. Kumar is a Life-Member/Member of different scientific and research-based societies including IEEE, CSI-INDIA, ISTE, ISDS, etc.
