Integrated Post Graduate Programme (IPG) : B.Tech(ICT) + M.Tech. (ICT) / B.Tech(ICT) + MBA
This is a five year integrated programme :

  • B.Tech(ICT) + M.Tech(ICT)
  • B.Tech.(ICT) + MBA

Admission: Current IPG batch has been admitted through AIEEE conducted by CBSE.

To fulfill the future requirement of integration of technical and managerial skills and bring innovation in product, technology and market, the academicians of India envision the need for an integrated course based on Management and IT. ABV - IIITM pioneered this concept and started the 5-year Integrated Post Graduate Programme in the year 2000. This programme provides dual academic certifications (Graduate and Post graduate) after the completion of 240 credits in ten semesters. The student can opt either for MBA or M.Tech after he/she completes the credit requirements stipulated for the first 6 semesters.

IPG (MBA)

  • Managing Business: Business leaders need to envision the future. Students at ABV-IIITM are groomed to be leaders who, with the domain knowledge of functional areas like Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Strategy and Operations are equipped with the aids to realize the cherished goals.
  • Providing Business Solutions : Students learn to provide effective and efficient business solutions with proficiency in management applications like e- Business, IT Strategy, ERP, SCM and CRM.
  • Integrating IT with Business : Inputs provided in areas like Data Base Management Systems, Software Engineering, Networking and Internet communications enable the students to optimize the usage of IT in areas where technology can provide strategic competitive advantage.

IPG (M. Tech)

  • Disciplined Approach to IT : Enables ABV-IIITM Grads to analyze the needs of various IT products/services and guide them throughout their product life cycle.
  • Expertise in Developing Systems : Enables ABV-IIITM Grads to address specific requirements and to integrate existing & new technologies for resource optimization.
  • Exposure to Research and Development: To give a competitive edge to the organizations, they serve.

Curriculum focus:

The academic curriculum of the program effectively integrates concepts and practices of information technology and management. It highlights the importance of information technology in a broad range of managerial fields including strategic management and planning. The curriculum delivery emphasizes learning through cases, group discussions, live NGO & industry projects and self-learning using a variety of resources like the internet. 

The academic curriculum is flexible and provides students the choice of elective courses amounting to 30% of the total credits. In the first three years, students are given a solid foundation in fundamental courses in science, humanities, computers and IT. Electives in the first three years are aimed at enabling students to prepare for their future specializations. The latter part of the program is devoted to current and futuristic subject areas. Once the post graduate stream is chosen, students are encouraged to select electives pertaining to related fields. Around half the man hours are dedicated to laboratory and / or field work.

The IPG-MBA graduates specialize in one or two of 4 fields, namely,  Finance, Marketing, IT-Enabled Strategy & Operations.

The IPG-MTech graduates specialize in one or two of Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Database Management Systems & Multimedia.
