Biography


 Pankaj Srivastava is Professor in Applied Physics  in ABV- Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management, Gwalior (MP). He did his Ph.D. on “The physical properties of semiconducting surfaces” from Physics Department, Central University of Allahabad in 1998. He has worked at International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy in the Condensed Matter theory group. His current area of research is computational Nanoscience investigating various physical properties of materials in the form of nanowires, nanoclusters, nanotubes, nanoribbons w.r.t. electronic devices and information technology applications employing first principles approach. Dr. Srivastava is also working in the area of Quantum Computing and Information and Nanoelectronics. He has till now published more than 192 research papers in reputed international and national journals, conferences and seminars out of which 93 research papers has been published in international journals of repute. To his credit he is expertise in theoretical modeling and simulation of various nanomaterial’s and has produced 08 Ph.D.’s till date and 04 are pursuing. He has written 02 books from Lambert publishing, Germany and CRC Press. He has been awarded various national scholarships & fellowships of UGC, DST and ISRO. He is member of many professional and academic bodies viz. ISTE-New Delhi, ICTP-Italy, MRSI-Bangalore. He is reviewer of many reputed journals. He has delivered invited talks in Italy, HongKong, UK, Ireland, Singapore and others. His Nanomaterials Research Group is investigating various physical properties of Graphene Nano Ribbons (GNR’s) for their potential application in nanoelectronics and sensors. He has completed 06 major research projects sponsored by AICTE, DST, CSIR, DRDO, New Delhi and 02 are running. He is Heading a startup  named SHAASTRA AUTOMATION LLP-  (LLP Identification No. AAJ-2731, 2017), at ABV-IIITM, Gwalior and got national Patent  on “Auto-Dimmer Device” , Indian patent Application No. 3966/MUM/2015 on 12 July 2018. Currently, he is working on a major  R & D projects sanctioned by SERB-DST, New Delhi on Transport properties of V-group nanoribbons for various sensing applications.
