Post No. 01 – Career Development & Training Officer

 

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Master Degree in Science/ Arts/Management (or equivalent degree) with more than 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale and with at least Five years of work experience in corporate relationship.

Salary: Negotiable for deserving candidate

Desirable:

  1. Be computer savvy with high proficiency in MS Office and other typical business applications.
  2. Possess excellent communication and PR skills.
  3. Possess the ability to co-ordinate with Senior and Junior members of the team effectively & articulate in an appropriate manner.
  4. Be Target-oriented, confident, assertive & should have analytical approach.
  5. Prior exposure in the field of corporate relations, human relations, recruitment and/or marketing, especially in service industry or educational institutions, is desired.

Job Requirement:

 

  1. Report to Professor-in-Charge.
  2. Interact with Institute alumni in various organizations for placement purposes, as per requirement.
  3. Interact with the officials of organizations under consideration for campus placement, as per requirement.
  4. Interact with Alumni Office as per requirement.
  5. Review Job Announcement Forms filled by the recruiting companies/organizations.
  6. Assist to create and maintain database of alumni as per Placement Office requirement.
  7. Manage feedback collection from recruiting organizations and its analysis as per Placement Office requirement.
  8. Coordinate with student placement members for arranging training programmes/activities in technical and non-technical areas.
  9. Coordinate with student placement members and Placement Office staff for arranging various recruiting organization-related activities.
  10. Any other work assigned by the Professor-In-Charge, Placement Office and Institute.

 

Post No. 02 – Student Counselor

Qualification and Experience: Master’s degree with more than 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale in the field of Psychology (Counseling, Clinical Psychology), Sociology, HR. Candidates with Ph. D. /M. Phil. with 2 years’ experience will be preferred training and counseling

Salary: Negotiable for deserving candidate

Desirable:
(a) Have training in counseling technique and / or any therapeutic module

(b) Administrative experience in managing relevant Counseling service set-ups

(c)  Be computer savvy with high proficiency in MS Office and other typical business applications.

(d)  Possess excellent communication and PR skills.

(e) Possess the ability to co-ordinate with Senior and Junior members of the team effectively & articulate in an appropriate manner.

Job Requirement:

The job would involve active Counseling of students largely in the 18-30 age groups, original work in connection with developing a suitable counseling programme for students and liaison work with professional volunteer agencies and hospitals for the benefit of the student population of the Institute. In addition, the job also requires:

  1.  Targeted psychological Counseling of individuals for common conditions such as anxiety, adjustment disorder, depression, addiction etc.
  2. Group therapy for certain conditions.
  3. Developing and executing appropriate follow up procedure for monitoring progress.
  4. Developing a standard operating procedure (SOP) to ensure a smooth operation of Counselling activity including crisis management.
  5. Designing and organizing of regular workshops addressing a variety of subjects such as stress management, self-esteem, test anxiety, managing mood swings, enhancing study skills, stigma attached to accessing mental health care.
  6. Counseling on different challenges faced by the students at regular intervals (peer pressure,relationships, academic stress, learning to make decisions, making responsible choices,knowing when to ask help for oneself and for others, family related issues, sexuality, identity, beliefs, time management, substance abuse , physical well-being etc).
  7. Training and guiding the team of student volunteers associated with counseling service.
  8. Acting as a referral to the administration and hospital.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  2. Good knowledge of computer applications (on word processor, spreadsheet, presentations software etc. And OS like MS-Windows, LINUX etc.) will be preferred.
  3. Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of appearing in Test/Interview.
  4. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding result of interview.
  5. The Institute may conduct Written and/or Practical Test only those candidates who qualify the said tests will appear for interview.
  6. The prescribed essential qualification/experience indicated is bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidates to appear for test/interview. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for institute to conduct test and/or interview all the candidates.
  7. If required the institute may restrict the number of candidates through written test/skill test/ interview to a reasonable limit.
  8. The candidates should, furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed along with documentary evidences.
  9. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/ Institutions.
  10. The appointments will be on contractual basis through outsource agency hired by the institute
