We take all the adverse conditions as opportunities to develop the Institute and its brand name. Great institutes are not signified by mere building of stones but by the Laurels and achievements brought by students. Achievements are the Nobody can mark a presence for an educational institution better than its elements- The Students. Out-performing others who conclave at various events around the globe. IIITM proves and continues to be a feather in the cap of IIITs and so have the students of IIITM proved their mettle, continuing to raise the flag of IIITM higher as ever. That is where IIITM stands, attaining top positions while showcasing their talents.

Our students have often outperformed and came out with flying colors in various Tec fests and other prestigious competitions held in India and abroad. We enjoy the full environment and freedom to learn whatever we wish. Apart from the academics we have organized our Tetchiest which has got huge appreciation and recognition throughout the country and participation not only from India but from all parts of the planet. These are the ones that make us proud to be a part of this institution and student fraternity.

Institute achievements

As founder Director of IIITM, Gwalior, an Apex Institute of Ministry HRD, GOI established in 1996 specifically in the cusp areas of IIT and IIM to integrate to develop Leadership manpower in the area of IT and management in an integrated manner, have been responsible to establish the Institute from the scratch. The Institute achievements under his leadership starting from 1998 till date (Last five years) are as follows:

Started five new and innovative programmes of MBA , M.Tech. and PhD and a Dual Degree Postgraduate Integrated Programme.
Visioning, designing and construction of the Institute campus on 60 hectares land. Hostels, academic, teaching areas and administrative buildings are completed.
Developing and designing new academic programme with dynamic Curriculum
Establishing all rules and regulations, creating new models for the Industry and Industrial links.
Institute has been accorded Deemed University status.
It has established links with international institutes.
Established MDP and CEP centers offering Management Development programmes, Faculty Development programmes and collaborative courses for working executives.
Developed State of Art laboratories in various areas of IT, engineering and management.
Developed New models of education delivery and assessment encompassing peer learning, mentoring, self-learning, learning to learn and continuous evaluation have been created.
Established the Library resources along with an Electronic library.
Institute has acquired the reputation of a national resource.
Organized a number of Seminars, Workshops and Conferences.
Created a network of relationships with various agencies related to industry and commerce, social and economic development, education and training, and many other organizations engaged in promoting social, economic and technological change, including agencies particularly working for uplifting the under-privileged.

Students achievements

Success around the globe- ACM ICPC Team for Stockholm final round

Team "brute force" from this institute was the winner of ACM ICPC Asia Region Contest 2008 in which nearly all IITs,NITs, BITS Pilani teams participated. It was a IT programming contest held in kanpur for Asian continent, university of Dhaka got second position and national university of Singapore got the third.
All India Strategic Model Contest-2001: a team of IIITM won an all India Strategic Model contest organized by MA-PIT on the topic “Designing a Strategic Model to develop MP as an IT HUB by 2005”. The Model was forwarded to Ministry of IT for implementation.
International Business Model Contest- Singapor: students of MBA, were short-listed for participation in an International Business Model Contest held in Singapore in 2001.
All India Open Software Contest- IIT Guwahati: A team of IIITM won 2nd prize in an All India Open Software Contest held in IIT Guwahati in Oct ‘02 for developing software ‘i-School’ for management of schools.
25th Rank in ACM-ICPC-07 Amrita Puri.
Top 3% rankers in ACM Contests.
Students have secured 1st position in ACM-ICPC (Kanpur Site).
2`teams have qualified for ACM-ICPC Amritapuri Regional.
3 students shortlisted for the interview in prestigious *“Code4Bill”, Microsoft’s National Level Contest and one of them was all India topper(2005-06).
Students from the institute won “The Great Mind Challenge 2006”, IBM’s National Level Open Software Contest and ranked 1st.
Students in Top 50 developers in India for the “Heroes Happen Here” contest organized by Microsoft.

Top 6% rankers in Project Euler.
Finalists of Imagine Cup 2008 organized by Microsoft.
A team of students of ABV-IIITM Gwalior won first prize in Lord of The *Code contest organized by Red Hat and Kanwal Rekhi School of Information Technology IIT Bombay (2006-07).
A team of students have got 1st position in Lord of The Code, Ekalavya.
A successful startup CEON solutions by a 2nd year student winning a B plan contest at IIM-A's Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE).
