- Short Biography
Dr S G Deshmukh earned his B Tech, M. Tech and Ph D from IIT Bombay. He has more than 20 years of teaching, research and consulting experience. He has been a faculty at IIT Delhi and at IIT Bombay. He has conducted several sponsored projects funded by agencies such as Department of Information Technology, and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
He has been a consultant to many leading organizations including Bharti Telecoms, ACC, Nucleus Software, IOC, India Today Group, World Bank, and WHO etc. His professional interest includes Enterprise Information Systems, Modeling and Analysis of supply chains and quality issues.
He has more than 250 publications in journals/conferences to his credit including publications in international journals with high impact factors such as Omega, J of Operational Research Society, International J of Production Economics, Computers and Industrial Engineering etc.
He is on the editorial board of international journals such as International Journal of Systems and Engineering, International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Value Chain Management, and Opration research.
He has conducted several Management Development /Training programmes for leading organizations. He has been active in developing web based pedagogy and resource material and was responsible for developing modules under the NPTEL (National Programme for Technology Enhanced Learning) funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Dr S G Deshmukh is affiliated with IIIE, ISME, POMS, ASI, NCQM and other professional societies.
