Dr. Jaijit Bhattacharya is Adjunct Faculty at IIT Delhi, Country Director, Government Strategy at Sun Microsystems, and Vice President of Institute of Open Technology and
Applications (IOTA), Government of West Bengal. He is responsible for the creation of the
next generation of solutions for governments, based on open standards. Dr. Bhattacharya
advises governments on egovernance strategies and has developed business models and
strategies for leading companies in the IT, media and computer hardware industries.

Asoke K. Talukder did M.Sc (Physics) with Biophysics major from Calcutta University and Ph.D in Computer Engineering from IIIT Bangalore. He is associated with both academia and industry. He was the DaimlerChrysler Chair Professor at IIIT Bangalore and Visiting Professor at VIT University, Vellore. Currently he is an Adjunct Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, NIT Warangal, Adjunct Faculty, ABV Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management, Gwalior, and Adjunct Faculty Department of Computer Engineering, NITK, Surathkal. In industry, he worked in many first and ambitious projects for companies like FujitsuICIM, Microsoft, Oracle, Informix, Digital, Hewlett Packard, ICL, Sequoia, Northern Telecom, NEC, KredietBank, iGate, Cellnext, to name a few. He setup many Offshore Labs and startups. He setup the first X.25 packet data network for DOT (Currently BSNL & MTNL) in India, he Internet enabled Microsoft PowerPoint, he engineered the first 64bit database in the world for Informix on Dec Alpha, and Parallel Server for Oracle database on HPFX & Sequoia Faulttolerant computers. He designed the Network Management system for Queen’s Award winning PDMX. Asoke authored two popular textbooks in the field of Mobile Computing and Architecting Secure Software Systems. He edited two books with few more book chapters in leading titles; he published many peerreviewed research papers and owns few patents in computing. He is recipient of many international awards including All India Radio/Doordarshan award, ICIM Professional Excellence Award, ICL Excellence Award, ICL Services Trophy, IBM Solutions Excellence Award, Simagine GSMWorld Award etc. Asoke has been listed in “Who’s Who in the World”, “Who’s Who in Science and Engineering”, and “Outstanding Scientists of 21 st Century”. His is the Chief Scientific Officer & Director of Geschickten Solutions where he is focusing on GenomicsCloud to meet the grand challenges of Computational Biology challenges.

Dr. R.K. Mitra is a Civil Servant. He has worked in key policy making Ministries of Government of India - Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Home and Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Before joining the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) as Deputy Registrar, Dr. R.K. Mitra was a Director in the Department of Commerce and was looking after SEZ/EPZ Policy/Foreign Overseas Investment. Apart from a First Class Post-graduate (University topper and Gold Medalist) degree in Economics, Dr. R.K. Mitra has an MBA as well as a Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. His research works extend from E-governance to strategic management. His specialization lies in designing of e-governance initiatives and change management strategies. He has publications both in Indian and International journals and magazines, apart from a book entitled ‘Macro Issues of E-governance’ (edited). At IIFT, he has conducted Management Development Programmes (MDPs) on most contemporary management challenges both in India and abroad (Africa). He is also involved in research activities at IIFT.)
